Dr Kapil Dev is an Axis Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Physics working with Professor Susmita Saha. He received his Ph.D. degree in January 2025 from the Department of Physics and Astrophysics, University of Delhi.
After that, he joined Ashoka in July 2025 for his first postdoc. His research interest lies in the area of magnetism and spintronics, with a specific interest in understanding magnetisation switching dynamics in magnetic thin films and multilayers for upcoming spintronics and neuromorphic devices. He is also exploring diverse applications of magnetic nanoparticles for medical treatments and electrocatalytic HER/OER for energy harvesting. His creative side is reflected in his keen interest in exploring and designing novel scientific instruments for research. He loves drawing, sketching and travelling.
