Manali Ghodeswar, a first-generation learner, holds a master’s degree in Political Science from RTM University, supported by the Swadhar Scholarship. Passionate about social work, she provides computer training to slum-dwelling school dropouts and teaches English and Maths to middle schoolers on weekends. Additionally, she leads extracurricular activities in Basti Varchi Shala and collaborates with Slum Soccer NGO, teaching football to slum children. As an expert teacher for Masoom NGO, she imparts History, Geography, and Political Science to students from 27 government schools in Nagpur. She also enjoys writing plays and playing the trumpet. Manali aspires to pursue a PhD and continue working with marginalised children in slums and villages. She believes that the YIF can change not only her future but also the future of her village and her slum. She looks forward to the diversity of courses and students and the consequent learning that takes place, which will enhance her critical thinking skills.
